More About Me

Well, as I have already mentioned I am a wife and mother of 4. I am married to my best friend Chris Elliott. He is a Computer Technician as well as Web Developer on the side. We love to laugh, play games, and have back yard movies for our friends.

Isn't he HANDSOME?! :-)

July 12th 2003 is our Anniversary

Our family

I am also a Massage Therapist and the name of my business is Revive Massage, "A massage that brings you life!" I run my business mainly out of my home but also am the Massage Therapist for Mill Street Residence and travel to my favorites here in Fergus Falls. I absolutely love to bring healing and life to people through the ministry of massage.

Me with one of my most sweetest massage clients.

My husband and I went to school at Rhema Bible Training College, in Oklahoma where we trained for ministry. Some day, it is our desire to pursue ministry full time. We are not sure when that will happen or what it will look like, but we know that we are in God's plan for our lives for the season that we are in. We are absolutely loving being in Fergus Falls near our family and friends while serving in our local church. I lead a group for moms called, The Oasis. Our tag line is, "Refreshing you so you can refresh others." We also both help lead our Family Ministry team.

Now to tell you about my 4 beautiful children. My thoughts are ...hmm...this means I have to find a picture of all them them looking all sweet and cute. Well, that ain't happen' people. This is as close as THAT will get. But if you look at the picture AFTER this one....

THIS IS MORE WHAT MY FAMILY LOOKS LIKE in trying to take a decent picture. One kid is grabbing his front and another his behind.

See this is something that I can now laugh at. It's the moments like this that will continue to cause me to Laugh Through Life! I'm thinking I should just make this my Christmas Card. Can you imagine going to someone's house and seeing all these sweet pictures of families and kids and then seeing this one? Gotta love 'em.

Alright, moving on. My firstborn son Isaac, is 10 years old and brings us so much joy and laughter. He's a very "spirited" child who has more energy than about anyone I know. He has a tender heart and loves anything to do with LEGOS! "Isaac" means "laughter," which he certainly has brought us much of.

He is also a ninja in his spare time.

Then there's our 8 year old daughter Grace. Our princess. Grace has a sweet heart and loves to wear dresses and do her hair. She is an avid reader and holds her own with 3 brothers. Hearing her laugh hard will put a smile in your heart. "Grace" means "favor, blessing." She has certainly been a blessing to our family.

Her nick-name this summer was "Jackie." We thought with all the teeth
missing she looked like a jack-o-lantern.

Then there is Luke. Luke is 5 years old and is the clown in our family. Luke has a zest for life that is unmatchable.  He will say and do anything for a laugh and keeps us on our toes. When he was younger he was quite the escape artist and loved messes. Now, he has Kindergarten to keep him busy and a younger brother to taunt. "Luke" means, "bringer of light." We pray he will be a bringer of light in this dark world. He certainly is a light in our family.

I love this picture because I can see the spirit of who Luke is in his eyes.

Luke wants to be doing everything the big kids are doing...even if he's not quite sure what that is...

Lastly is my son Jonathan. Jonathan is 3 years old and gets mom all to himself while the big kids are at school. He is my snuggler. Yay! He loves to laugh and will take any opportunity to do so. He is a good little brother and loves relationship. If he had his way he would snack all day long! "Jonathan" means, "Gift from God." We weren't planning on having a Jonathan, but the Lord saw fit to give us an extra gift. He's a treasure.

When you ask him, "Who made you so cute?" this is how he responds.
We often go on rides on mommy's new e-bike.

So there you have it! There's my family in a brief nutshell.

All pretending they like each other. :-)

My crazy family!
Here's a few more fun family pictures that I treasure:

Here's a bit about why I'm writing this blog. I have it as my first blog post but I know it will eventually get archived and no one will read it. So therefore, I figured it would be good to have under the section that tells more about me.

Alright, so the thought of blogging freaks me out a bit. First of all, I hardly know what a blog even is! There’s such a stigma in my mind with those who blog. They are people who are very organized and have their act together. They are over the top creative and crafty, and usually it seems that they are experts at something. Oh and not to mention they are wonderful writers. So…now you can see my hesitation with starting a blog. I don’t see myself in the “blogger” category in the least. As you may already know, I tend to ramble on and on, and I loathe grammar. So why am I starting this you may ask? Great question! To put it as best as I know how, my desire to share laughter and life with others is greater than the pressure I feel to impress with eloquent words and the latest exquisite projects and gourmet recipes that I should have. Nope, not me. I simply want to share the cute and hilarious moments that we have with our kids as well as the precious things the Lord does in our life.  If I can bring life to you through a chuckle or two here and there, then it will bring joy to my heart as well. I have nothing to impress you with and I have nothing to hide. If you are one who needs a bit of laughter and maybe some challenging encouragement every now and then, then this is the blog for you to follow. So there you have it in a nutshell. Now my husband on the other hand, is thinking this blog needs to look really nice and design it super cool. So, someday in the future you’ll see the development of my husband’s first class graphic web design in action. He’s pretty good at it if I do say so myself. J Until then, here’s to the simple communication from my heart to yours as we continue to venture in...
Laughing Through Life!
